Real estate sales decreased by 35.6% in 2023 compared to the last year and amounted to 85,652 houses.
Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 13,944 houses and a 16.3% share. According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 10,000 house sales and a % 11.7 share, and İzmir with 4,960 house sales and a 5.8% share.
The provinces with the lowest number of house sales were respectively Ardahan and Hakkari with 22 houses and Bayburt with 53 houses.

In the January-April period, new house sales decreased by 15.3% compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 110,859.
Resale house sales across Turkey decreased by 39.3% in April compared to the same month in 2022 and became 58,700. The share of resale house sales in total house sales was 68.5%. Resale house sales decreased by 19.9% in the January-April period, compared to the same period in 2022 and amounted to 258,008.

Housing sales to foreigners in Turkey decreased by 60.3% in April compared to the same month of the previous year and became 2 thousand 557. In April, the share of house sales to foreigners in total house sales was 3.0%. Antalya took first place in house sales to foreigners with the sales of 1,24 houses. Antalya was respectively, followed by Istanbul with 792 house sales and Mersin with 186 house sales.
In April, citizens of the Russian Federation bought 817 houses from Turkey. The citizens of the Russian Federation were respectively followed by Iran with 377 residences, Ukraine with 136 residences and Iraq with 124 residences.
In the January-September period of 2021, 2 million 118 thousand 963 real estate sales transactions were made throughout Turkey, and 14 billion 483 million 486 thousand 736 Turkish Liras title deed fee income was obtained.
According to the information obtained by the AA reporter from the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, 316,818 Turkey real estate sales transactions were made in September 2021.
307 thousand 980 real estate sales transactions in August 2021 and the number of real estates sales transactions increased by 2.86% in September compared to August.
In September 2021, 2 billion 209 million 892 thousand 290 Turkish Liras title deed fee income was obtained from these sales transactions.
2 million 118 thousand 963 real estate sales transactions were made throughout Turkey in the January-September period of 2021. 14 billion 483 million 486 thousand 736 Turkish Liras were obtained from the title deed fee income of these transactions.
Of these transactions, 919 thousand 972 were housing units, 375 thousand 986 lands, 573 thousand 982 fields, 93 thousand 649 offices and commercial units and the rest were other immovable types.
Among the provinces with the most real estate sales transactions, Istanbul took 1st place with 265 thousand 419 sales.
Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 141 thousand 698 sales, Izmir with 98 thousand 330 sales, Antalya with 76 thousand 486 sales, Konya with 71 thousand 782 sales, Bursa with 71 thousand 449 sales.
