Production from Wind and Solar

Turkey Ranked 5th among G20 Countries in Electricity Production from Wind and Solar. Turkey overtook countries like the USA, France and Brazil in electricity production from wind and solar.

Turkey to meet 12 percent of last year's total electricity production from wind and solar while performing above the world average (9.4 percent), tripled its electricity production from these sources in the 2015-2020 period.

 

Meanwhile, Turkey's total electricity production in 2020 was recorded as 302 terawatts. 43 percent of Turkey's electricity production from renewable energy sources is obtained in this period, 57 percent was obtained from other sources, mainly coal and Natural Gas.
