Turkey has Added a
Fourth Drill Ship to its Fleet

Turkey has added a fourth drillship to its fleet of other vessels, which includes Fatih, Yavuz and Kanuni. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez announced that the world's best drilling ship will be named 'Alparslan'.


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the continuation of efforts to extract and transport gas discovered in the Black Sea to land. That is why a fourth drilling ship has been added to the fleet of other vessels.


Regarding the characteristics of the fourth ship, Erdogan said: "This seventh-generation ship is equipped with the latest equipment in its field."


Only five ships in the world are in the category of the new Turkish drilling ship with a length of 238 meters and a width of 42 meters. The ship is also capable of drilling to a depth of 3,665 meters.


Referring to the economic crisis lurking in developed countries, the Turkish president said: "Developed countries are on the verge of the biggest economic crisis since World War II, which will obviously lead to social and political crises."


Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continued: ‌ Turkey is in a favorable position in terms of production, exports and job creation with the strong infrastructure that the AKP has acquired in the last 19 years.
