Turkey Ranked 9th in the Exports of
Construction Materials in the World

According to the Turkish Construction Materials Industry Association "IMSAD", Turkey's exports in 2020 in this field increased by 9.1% compared to 2019 at the level of $ 21.2 billion.

 

Global exports of construction materials decrease by 2.8% compared to the last year and reached $ 887.9 billion.

 

It was emphasized that in 2020, when the world's construction materials exports shrank by 2.8% and decreased to 887.9 billion dollars with the effect of the epidemic, Turkey rose two places with its exports of 21.16 billion dollars and became the 9th exporter country in the world.

 

Turkey's main export markets are, respectively, the United States, Israel and Germany.

 

 

Exports of Construction Materials Approached $ 25 Billion

 

The value of exports per kilogram of construction materials increased by 50% in May and reached $ 0.42.

In May, imports of construction materials decreased compared to April, reaching $ 707 million and 255,481 tons. The unit price per kilogram reached $ 2.77.

Last month, the unit price of exports in all 8 sub-product groups increased annually. The average unit export price increased by 36.9% in mineral products, 24.2% in iron and steel products, 36.5% in wood, 32.7% in electrical materials and equipment and 24.5% in chemical products.
