Metro Line have Begun!

The works for the Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Metro line have begun recently. Continuing its investments without slowing down, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality started the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) process for the highly anticipated Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Rail System Line.

The highly anticipated metro line will cost 9 billion 16 million 14 thousand Turkish Liras. The Metro line in question will pass through Kucukcekmece, Avcilar, Esenyurt, Beylikduzu and Buyukcekmece districts.

When the line, which includes 10 stations, is opened for passenger operation, it is predicted that it will serve approximately 3.5 million population living in the west of Istanbul and having no rail system access.

The entire part of the Metro line planned to be built is referred to as the İncirli-Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Rail System Line. This project consists of Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Section line.

The Incirli (Bakirkoy)–Sefakoy section is within the scope of the Ministry of Transport, General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM), while the Sefakoy–Beylikduzu-Tuyap section is within the scope of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.

For this reason, the starting station of the Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Section was determined as Sefakoy Station.

Incirli-Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Rail System Line, Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Section consists of 10 stations with a total length of 17.89 kilometers. The stations of the mentioned line are as follows: Sefakoy, Cennet, Kucukcekmece, Resitpasa, Avcilar Merkez, Cihangir, Saadetdere, Beylikduzu, Yildirım Beyazit and Tuyap.

The highly anticipated Incirli-Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Rail System Line will integrate with the existing Halkali - Gebze Marmaray Line in Kucukcekmece, the Mahmutbey-Esenyurt Extension Line in Saadetdere, which is in the final project phase, and the HIZRAY project, which is in the final project stage in Beylikduzu.

In line with the decisions taken in the whole of the constantly developing transportation system of the mega city Istanbul, Incirli-Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Rail System Line, Sefakoy-Beylikduzu-Tuyap Section parallel to the D-100 or mostly known E-5 highway, to alleviate the burden of road travel and Metrobus, the city's rail system has reached the present day.

In the uninvited western part, it was designed as the first metro line to be built by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
