Turkey was under the impact of cold and snowy weather during the last week. Snowfall caused beautiful landscapes to appear. It brought a stunning view on streets and highways which influenced everyone at the first glance.
According to the latest weather forecasts published by the General Directorate of Meteorology, the violence of snow in most parts of Turkey increasing rapidly and anti-snow activities accelerated after the snowfall.
The snow first started from Eastside, Central Anatolia and South Anatolia of Turkey. Ski resorts including Elmadag, Erciyes, Ilgaz, Kartalkaya and Konakli, as well as Uludağ, attracted great attention of visitors by exceeding 170 cm of snow.
Istanbul residents met with the first snow of the year
It has been long time that all the residents of Istanbul have been waiting for the first snow of the year. Finally, the experts of Meteorology gave the good news of the first snow of 2020 for Istanbul.
Although there was snow, there were many transportation alternatives as Metro, Metrobus and Minibuses which worked actively and the flow of transport was very well. Istanbul municipality with its super services covered all the streets of the city with salt and sand and prevented frost.
Snow falling in the middle force brought pleasant views. All the people, families and children were happy and enjoyed a lot from playing with the white peace of snow.
