Today, Phase-1 studies of the local vaccine developed against the coronavirus at Erciyes University have been completed. Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Calis said, "No serious side effects were seen. If everything goes well, I hope we plan to switch to Phase-2 by the end of this month.

The first dose of the domestic vaccine under Phase-1 was implemented to 44 volunteers in November.

In the Turkish research on the closest vaccine to be implemented works is continuing rapidly.

The second dose of the local vaccine, which did not have any negative side effects, started on November 26.

Phase-1 studies were completed as a result of the implementation of the second dose to 44 volunteers.

It is planned to vaccinate 200 volunteers in Phase-2 studies.

According to Minister Fahrettin Koca's prediction, the local vaccine can be successfully made in April.

As it is known, the ministry, which works for the supply of the vaccines produced, on the one hand, announced that the contract for the vaccine supply was signed at the last point. He also adds that they were waiting for the delivery of the vaccine and that the storage and distribution facilities were also available.

 

 

Besides these, President Erdogan made a new announcement after the cabinet meeting. In his speech, He announced that from the 31st of December at 21.00 until the 4th of January at 05.00 the uninterrupted restriction will be applied.

Erdogan also stated in his speech that the duration of VAT reductions was extended until 1 June that the tradesmen whose workplace is rented will be provided with rent support for three months also financial support will be provided to more than 1.23 million people for 3 months.
