The Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) increased by 9.0%t in June compared to May and became 469.8.
According to Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) data, the price per square meter of a house in Turkey was 13,014 Turkish Liras in June. In this case, the average price of a house of 100 square meters reached 1,301,400 Turkish Liras.
In the mega-city of Istanbul, the price per square meter was 21, 328 Turkish Liras, while the price of a 100 square meter house was recorded as 2,132,800 Turkish Liras.
When the residential property price index changes for the three big cities are evaluated, an increase of 9.7% in Istanbul, 9.3% in Ankara and 8.1% in Izmir were recorded, respectively, in June compared to May.
Compared to June 2021, the index values increased by 184.9% in the megacity Istanbul, 165.4% in Ankara and 150.9% in Izmir. The price increase in Antalya, Burdur and Isparta regions was recorded as 200%.
According to the data announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), the Residential Property Price Index increased by 12.4% in May compared to the previous month and was at the level of 430.6. While the Housing Price Index increased by 145.5% on an annual basis in May, the real increase was 41.1% in this period.
