10 cities where foreigners buy the most housing in Turkey were listed as Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara, Mersin, Yalova, Bursa, Izmir, Sakarya, Samsun and Trabzon. 

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the data for housing sales to foreigners in Turkey at the end of October 2021. According to the data; Antalya, the city where the most foreign tourists and visitors come for a vacation in Turkey, is one of the cities after Istanbul where foreigners prefer to settle their life.

 

The real estate sector, which experienced serious losses last year in housing sales to foreigners, as in many other sectors during the Covid-19 epidemic, continues to increase in 2021.

 

8 Thousand 640 Houses were Sold in Antalya Turkey

 

In the 10-month period between January and October, housing sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 38% with a total of 43,372 house sales across the country. While Istanbul ranked 1st with 20 thousand 247 houses sales, Antalya ranked 2nd with an increase of approximately 30% and 8 thousand 640 housing sales. 

Antalya's housing sales to foreigners in October 2021 raised by 33% compared to the same period of 2021 and reached 1,385 houses. A total of 5 thousand 893 houses were sold in Turkey in October 2021, a 12.1% increase is seen compared to the last year. While Istanbul ranked 1st with 2,464 housing sales, Antalya was the 2nd in Turkey in October.

Housing sales to foreigners from January to June period increased by 43.7% compared to the same period of the last year and became 20 thousand 488 housing units

 

After the announcement of the Turkey real estate sales statistics, important valuations came from the sector representatives.

 

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK's) June 2021 Turkey real estate sales data, house sales to foreigners raised by 185.3% compared to the same month of the last year and reached 4 thousand 748.

Property sales to foreigners gave a boost to the real estate industry at a time when house sales were declining periodically.

In this period when the Turkey real estate purchasers from Europe to the Middle East diversified, Canada also entered the list. Black Sea cities such as Samsun and Trabzon draw the attention of foreign real estate buyers with their climate and touristic power in the summer period.

 

 

According to the Turkey property sales data for June 2021 announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute today, house sales across Turkey declined by 29.1% in June compared to the same month of 2020 and became 134,731 housing units.

In the period between January to June, Turkish real estate sales decreased by 11.5% compared to the same period of 2020 and amounted to 552 thousand 810. Housing sales to foreigners, on the other hand, seen a boom by 185.3% compared to the same month of the last year and became 4 thousand 748 housing units in 2021.

Acquisition of social immunity with the Covid-19 vaccination process in Turkey, the gradual increase in flight traffic and the performance in tourism have positive effects on the Turkish real estate industry.

Emphasizing that Samsun and Trabzon are among the 10 cities where foreigners buy the most housing in June, the real estate consultants said, “Foreigners invest not only in Istanbul, Antalya and Mugla but also in various cities such as Samsun and Trabzon during the summer period.
