House sales in Turkey decreased by 17.0% in August 2021 compared to the same month of 2020 and became 141 thousand 400.
Istanbul had the highest share in house sales with 24,286 house sales and 17.2% share.
According to the number of sales, Istanbul was followed by Ankara with 13 thousand 642 house sales and 9.6% share, and Izmir with 7 thousand 731 house sales and 5.5% share.
The provinces with the lowest number of house sales, respectively, were Hakkari with 16 houses and Ardahan with 28 houses.
The number of newly built houses sold in Turkey decreased by 18.2% in August 2021 compared to the same month of 2020 and became 42 thousand 639.
A total of 30.2% share is obtained from the sales of new houses. In the sales of the new house, Istanbul had the highest share with 6 thousand 375 house sales and 15.0% share, Istanbul is followed by Ankara with 2 thousand 932 house sales and Izmir with 1 972 house sales.
Resale house sales in Turkey decreased by 16.5% in August 2021 compared to the same month of 2020 and became 98 thousand 761 houses.
In resale house sales, Istanbul ranked 1st with 17 thousand 911 houses and a share of 18.1%. The share of resale houses sales in total house sales in Istanbul was 73.8%. Ankara ranked 2nd in resale house sales with 10,710 house sales and followed by Izmir with 5,759 resale house sales.
Houses sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 50.7% in August 2021 compared to the same month of 2020 and became 5 thousand 866 houses.
In the sales of the house to foreigners, Istanbul took 1st place with the sales of 2 thousand 729 houses. Istanbul was, respectively, followed by Antalya with 976 house sales, Ankara with 400 house sales, Mersin with 242 house sales and Yalova with 233 house sales.
Houses sales to foreigners in Turkey increased by 47.6% in the January-August period of 201 compared to the same period of 2020 and became 30 thousand 849.
The Most Housing Sales were made to Iran Citizens in August 2021
In August 2021, Iranian citizens bought 911 houses from Turkey. Citizens of Iran were followed by Iraq with 900 houses, Russian Federation with 451 houses, Afghanistan with 313 houses and Kuwait with 264 houses.
