The 5th Iran-Turkey Joint Technical Committee Meeting on Tourism Cooperation was held yesterday with video conferencing method.
Veli Teymuri, vice-minister of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism enacted Iran at the meeting held at ministerial level.
In the meeting where subjects associated to the tourism sector were argued, the significance of preparing a protocol covering the hygiene rules in post-corona tourism was highlighted.
At the meeting, the issue related to mutual passport-free travel be brought to the agenda, it was decided to follow this issue seriously. So that both Turkish and Iran citizens could travel Turkey and Iran without passport requirement.
Iran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism vice-minister Teymur İnvited Turkey to the International Tourism and Craft Fair to be hosted by Tehran in March of this year.
On travels to Iran that do not exceed 90 days, Turkish citizens holding Diplomatic, Service, Private and Public Passports are exempt from visa.
