The establishment of the New Mosque begun in 1597 with the bid of Safiye Sultan, the mother of Sultan III. Mehmet, but the building was postponed after the death of the sultan. The construction of the mosque is finished in 1663 throughout the period of Mehmed's mother Turhan Hatice Sultan.


Turkey Is Bank Museum

Dating back to the 1898s Turkey Is Bank Museum, situated in the best location right between the New Mosque and the post office construction. The museum was opened to the public on 14 November 2007.

In the museum, all the economic development that happened from the day Turkey Is Bank is established up to today, and documents related to the organizational structure are displayed.

It is open between 10:00 A.M. and 18:00 P.M. every day except Monday, the first days of Ramadan and Eid al-Adha and first January. The museum has free entry to everyone.


Rustem Pasha Mosque

Rustem Pasha Mosque is taking place at the back of the Spice Bazaar and was established by one of the world’s most famous Turkish architect Mimar Sinan in 1561. Rustem Pasha Mosque is among the masterworks of the Ottoman period with its perfect architectural structure and Iznik tiles.


Sirkeci Train Station

Sirkeci Station is one of the most important train stations in Turkey Situated in Istanbul. The station is constructed during the reign of II. Abdulhamid is in the Sirkeci region on the European side near Eminonu Istanbul.


Gulhane Park

Gulhane Park without any doubt is one of the most popular and most visited and famous parks near Eminonu Istanbul. Gulhane Park, which is the center of attention with its wonderful gardens, beautiful flowers, pools and recreational areas. It was used to grow roses for the great Topkapi Palace during the Ottoman period.
