Approximately 132,500 trees will be planted on an area of 5.2 million square meters in Ataturk Airport National Park. 2.1 million Square meters of land will be dedicated to “living areas” such as parks, playgrounds, skating tracks, activity zones, restaurants and cafes.
A museum and youth center will be established on 1.1 million square meters of land, including an aviation center, cinema, sports and exhibition halls.
Outdoor football fields, tennis courts and archery fields will be built on a land of approximately 393,000 square meters. The existing international flight area will host expos and fairs as it has a metro connection, and lots of accommodation facilities will be constructed on an area of approximately 230,000 square meters.
While planning the Ataturk Airport National Park everything was considered to the finest details. There will be an elderly care center on an area of 180 thousand square meters. The National Park will have access to the Marmara Sea with the 885-meter-long pier.
