Address Registration System in Turkey

For address registration in Turkey, you need to have your Turkish residence permit card and foreign ID number starting with 99.

All foreigners living in Turkey since 2013 are obliged to register their addresses in the system and notify address changes within 20 days.

As of May 18, 2015, it is obligatory to submit a registration document to the AKS system for all residence permit applications.

How to Register Your Address in Istanbul? (Foreigners in Turkey)

 

Address registration for foreigners in Istanbul, in 2022 become an important and a bit complicated issue.

 

In 2022, address registration for foreigners in Turkey will be made in the related district migration offices (District Working Group Directorate). If you are intending to live in Turkey for more than

6 months you apply for address registration. Or in case you have already registered your address before and you are going to change your address, you should go for registration to the District Directorate of Migration Management to inform them about your new address within 20 days.

Address registration is very significant for Turkish residence permit applications.

 

Where to Do Address Registration in Turkey, Istanbul?

 

Istanbul Provincial / District Directorate of Migration Management Units Where Address Registration is Made:

 

  1. Those who are living in Bayrampasa, Beyoglu, Gaziosmanpasa, and Fatih should apply to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration Management.

Address: Hirka-i Serif, Adnan Menderes Street. No: 64, 34091 Faith/Istanbul

 

  1. People addresses in Arnavutkoy, Avcilar, Basaksehir, Beylikduzu, Buyukcekmece, Catalca, Esenyurt, Kucukcekmece and Silivri districts should apply to Esenyurt Working Group Directorate for their adress registration.

Adress: Istiklal, 2663. Street. No: 6, 34522 Esenyurt/Istanbul.

 

  1. Those who are living in Bagcilar, Bahcelievler, Bakirkoy, Besiktas, Beyoglu, Esenler, Eyupsultan, Gungoren, Fatih, Kagithane, Sariyer, Sisli and Zeytinburnu should apply Provincial Directorate of Migration Management Kumkapı Coordination Center.

Adress: Muhsine Hatun, Cifte Gelinler Street. No: 25, 34130 Fatih/ Istanbul.         

 

  1. Atasehir, Beykoz, Cekmekoy, Kadikoy, Uskudur and Umraniye district residents should apply to the Umraniye Working Group Directorate for address registration in Istanbul.

Adress: Necip Fazil, Alemdag Street. No: 894 D: 1A, 34773 Umraniye/Istanbul.

 

  1. People addressed in Kartal, Maltepe, Sancaktepe, Pendik and Tuzla districts can apply to the Pendik Working Group Directorate.

Adress: Pendik Kaymakamligi Dogu Mahallesi Ince Street No: 12 Floor: 1 Pendik/Istanbul.

 

  1. Those who are living in Kartal, Maltepe, Sancaktepe, Sultanbeyli and Tuzla districts residents should apply for Sultanbeyli Coordination Office.

Adress: Battalgazi, Bosnia Blv. No: 138, 34935 Sultanbeyli/Istanbul.

 

Documents Required for Address Registration in Turkey

 

  1. Photocopy of Residence permit card,
  2. Photocopy of Passport,
  3. Electricity, water and gas subscription invoices registered to your name (If the subscription is not registered to your name the owner of the invoices should be with you while applying for address registration),
  4. If you are the title deed owner you should obtain Numrataj by applying to the official website of the related district municipality website – click Göç İdaresi (Numrataj) and fill in the data required.
  5. If you are a tenant you should have the notarized contract agreement.
  6. If you are living with a 3rd person, that person should go to the notary and at the notary public, he/she has to sign a letter of commitment that you live with him/her. Take that by yourself.

 

As you go with your documents to the above-mentioned places you can register your address there. As you registered your address, you can get Address Registration Certificate from the e-Devlet (e-Government in Turkey) electronic platform.

                                                                                                                                         

When there is a Need for Address Registration Certificate in Turkey?

 

  1. For the renewal application of the Turkish residence permit,
  2. Invoice procedures (such as registering for a natural gas and water supplier if you rent a house),
  3. for opening a bank account,
  4. when getting married,
  5. and other bureaucratic procedures.

Foreigners Address Registration from E-devlet or E-government in Turkey 2022 New Rule (Empty Houses)

 

To facilitate address change and registration procedures for foreigners in Turkey, the "Foreigners' Address Change and Registration Notices (Empty House)" service has been put into use via the e-Government  (https://www.turkiye.gov.tr/) in 2022.

 

Within the scope of the service, "empty" residences that do not require a consent letter can be accessed through this service, and address change and registration can be carried out together.

 

In addition, the "Main Applicant" will be able to apply for him/herself at one time by clicking the option, "I will give address notification for myself and my affiliated applications", or “Kendim ve bağlı başvurularım için adres bildiriminde bulunacağım.”

With the option, affiliated applications (Family Members) will also be able to register their addresses without requiring a consent letter.
